Position Summary:
The Cape Town Zombie Walk is seeking responsible, enthusiastic individuals to serve as Event Marshals. This volunteer role is essential to ensuring the safe, enjoyable, and well-organized flow of the event. Marshals will provide on-the-ground support, guiding participants along the designated route and serving as key points of contact for safety, coordination, and crowd engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage the flow of participants along the walk route

Provide clear guidance and directions to event attendees

Ensure public safety and adherence to event guidelines

Act as a liaison between the public and the event coordination team

Report any incidents or emergencies promptly to the designated supervisor

Assist with general event setup and breakdown, if available

Represent the Cape Town Zombie Walk with a positive and professional attitude
Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older

Strong communication skills and a calm, approachable demeanor

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a coordinated team

Comfortable being on your feet and outdoors for the duration of the event

Punctual and dependable

Zombie-themed attire encouraged (details provided upon confirmation), but not mandatory
Time Commitment:

Approx. 1 – 2 hours on event day

Brief marshal briefing/training session prior to the event (details to be shared in advance)
